Today, students completed the word analogy of the day. Absent students should get their absence excused in order for the bell-ringer to be exempted. Then, students read independently.

Students opened StudySync and found the “I Have a Dream” speech by Martin Luther King, Jr. We read the speech with the video/audio in class. Then, we discussed the speech, including rhetorical devices found in the speech.

Then, students began working on the Susan B Anthony Explanation Gateway assignment, found in Google Classroom. It is due tomorrow. Students should be sure not to turn in the assignment until Mrs. Evans gives them green light to do so.
