Then, students read independently at the beginning of class; students with an excused absence should read for 20 minutes and complete the Independent Reading Make-Up Form found in Google Classroom.

Students finished their thesis work from Monday and were encouraged to finish this week’s NoRedInk.

Then, students began working on their Thesis Gateway Assignment, found in Google Classroom. As with last week’s assignment, they should request feedback once they’ve tried one, two, or all three of the thesis statements. Students should not turn it in until they get all green lights and Mrs. Evans tells them to do so. We will continue to work on this assignment tomorrow.

9.17 | Friday Finish Line

Today, students read independently at the beginning of class; students with an excused absence should read for 20 minutes and complete the Independent Reading Make-Up Form found in Google Classroom, then the missing work form so Mrs. Evans knows you did the assignment.

Once students are finished or while they’re waiting on feedback, they should work on the buffer work, due tomorrow:

  • TikTok Blast in StudySync
  • This week’s NoRedInk: Parallel Structure Practice and Quiz
  • Catch-up Work; check out the weeks 2 and 3 checklist in Google Classroom to be sure you’re caught up in class.
