Today, students completed the word analogy of the day; absent students should get the absence excused and let Mrs. Evans know it’s excused.

Then, students read independently at the beginning of class; students with an excused absence should read for 20 minutes and complete the Independent Reading Make-Up Form found in Google Classroom and the missing work form.

Students began taking notes over Thesis Statements; this work is found in Google Classroom. Students should be mindful that this is a gateway assignment and cannot be submitted until Mrs. Evans gives a green light on the assignment. The worksheet has a link describing how this works. The thesis work should be finished by Friday and students will have time to work on it in class.
