Today, students responded to the ACT Question of the Day below. Students with an excused absence should respond and show to Mrs. Evans during Brave period.

Then, students read independently. Absent students should read independently for 20 minutes and submit a half-page summary of their reading with an absent form attached for credit.

After reading, students discussed the experience of completing the practice ACT reading test yesterday; students asked questions and talked through the experience together.

Today, students took the practice ACT reading test; we did this in StudySync.  Students who were absent should see Mrs. Evans for a Brave pass to make up the test.

2.10 | English 11

Today, students were in the library to check out and renew books.  We also completed an activity with Miss Green.  Most of the resources should be in Google Classroom. You will need this for an after-ACT project, so be sure to complete it.

Today, students wrote their ACT practice essay improvements into the Google Classroom assignment.  When finished, students had time to complete this week’s NoRedInk.com assignment.

Today, students read independently. Absent students should read independently for 20 minutes and submit a half-page summary of their reading with an absent form attached for credit.

Then, students were given a copy of their ACT Writing response from Tuesday. We reviewed the prompt and their responses and discussed some possible ways to organize their responses.  Students should rewrite/improve their responses for class tomorrow.
