Today, students read independently. Absent students should read independently for 20 minutes and submit a half-page summary of their reading with an absent form attached for credit.

Then, students were given an updated copy of the Essay Graphic Organizer.  We reviewed the parts of it and played a practice review game.  Tomorrow, there will be a test over writing structure.

Then, students were given a copy of their ACT Writing response from Tuesday. We reviewed the prompt and their responses and discussed some possible ways to organize their responses.  Students should rewrite/improve their responses for class tomorrow.
